September 29, 2020 – The Second Bulgarian Book Festival – online edition started last night with the launch of ‘Welcome Nathan!’.
Elka Stoyanova, a poet, moderated the conversation, under the motto: Literature as Catharsis, with the author Irina Papancheva and Dr. Elitza Kotzeva, a professor of English and Literature at the American University of Armenia who has translated an excerpt of “Welcome Nathan!”.
„From all my books, this is the one which it was impossible not to write. And even though, it talks about death – about a stillborn child, my child – I would define it as a book about life, about acceptance and moving on. A book for everyone who has experienced something heavy and turning his/her world upside down, and needs hope. It is also a book for everyone who is able to feel empathy – a feeling that we are progressively lacking nowadays, it seems to me,” said Irina Papancheva on FB.
