June 25, 2022 – Irina Papanchva’s latest novel ‚Brussels Naked‘ has been nominated for the first Orpheus Prize, but got disqualified for being published meanwhile (the competition was for an unpublished manuscript).
Irina Papancheva attended the announcement of the of the prize, at which the jury chairperson prof. Simeon Yanev spoke about ‚Brussels Naked‘.
“The novel raises many questions and the author seeks solutions in a successful dramaturgical form,” he said.
The prize was given to Mihail Mihaylov for his ‘Treacherous Illusions‘.
